マフラーの設計開発では、各条件の組み合わせで検討し、排気流量は高温の方が消音しやすい特性を利用して、エンジンに近いエキパイに消音機能を大きく持たせ、サイレンサーを車体中心に置くことでマスの集中化を図ることにしました。その結果リアのサイレンサーは小型軽量で片側１本出しとなり、オーバーハング重量を減らし、ヨーの低減で好操縦性も達成できたのです。もちろんエンジン充填効率を上げ、動力性能を引き上げる本来性能は求めながら、さらに運動性能を車全体でバランシングする。工法、素材を組み合わせ開発し、テストを繰り返し、最高のマフラーが完成しました。排気音はホンダのあの音で、高回転域ではＶＴＥＣエンジンならではの快音を響かせます。

The Spoon Sports N1 Muffler Exhaust System is designed with the main silencer as forward as possible, by having the exhaust flow through the silencer immediately after the catalytic converter, noise reduction effect is maximized - as well as catalytic converter function. As exhaust flows through the rest of the piping - pressure is stabilized and efficiency is improved. This allows the rear section to be as light as possible, centralizing the weight of the exhaust near the center of the car and reducing overall weight. Extensive testing has been performed with various muffler materials, piping diameters, and muffler locations. This data has allowed Spoon Sports to create an exhaust that performs better than stock in every aspect - higher output at any RPM range, durability, and a beautiful finish.
